In Indiana, two teenagers joined the disgusting trend of putting saliva on food items and then putting the items back on the shelf. These immature brats decided to open up soda bottles – spit in them, and then put them back where they found them, trying to join the trend started in Texas by one of the most disgusting people walking the planet.
Apparently, people think it is “cool” to tamper with food and then put it back on the shelf – but in reality, they’re just sad little people desperate for people to pay them a bit of attention. These sad individuals are desperate to be seen and to feel like they’re somebody in the world. Even if they have to do something disgusting to get attention, they’re willing to do whatever they have to do to get noticed and get their “fifteen minutes of fame.”
Indianapolis mom Brittney Edwards posted the video of these two Indiana teen girls spitting into soda bottles and then putting them on the shelf. Oh yeah – they took a sip of the soda first before spitting it in and putting the tampered food back where they found it.
Edwards said that some “girl” her daughter follows on social media shared the video on Instagram for likes. When Edwards saw what the people her daughter follows on social media were doing to fill up their days, she was disturbed and very worried for her daughter.
When Edwards first saw the video, she was shocked and stupified. She couldn’t believe that someone would do that.
“I’m like ‘Are they spitting in there?’ When I first saw it, it just made me disgusted because I’m pregnant,” Edwards said to WTHR.
Although police have yet succeeded to identify the criminals in the video, they are hunting them down and trying to put them behind bars.
Edwards cannot grasp what would compel the teenagers to open soda, spit it in, and then put it back on the shelf. But I can tell you what it was in two words – desperation and loneliness. These girls craved attention because they feel so small in their everyday lives.
“I don’t know what’s in kids’ minds these days, but that’s not right at all,” the pregnant mom said.
Edwards is rooting for the police. She wants these teens locked up for as long as the law will allow.
“At the end of the day, somebody could sick, horribly sick. Hospitalized. It don’t matter. That’s worse than e-coli to me.”
Edwards claims that she’ll never buy soda bottles again. Because people are opening them and spitting into them, she doesn’t want to risk ingesting someone else’s saliva as a prank. It just disgusts here – and it could put the life of her unborn baby at risk.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department considers this offense a Level Six Felony under state law. It comes with up to 10.5 years in prison as well as a $10,000 fine.
Since these kids were probably minors, Indiana might be forced to go easy on them
